Ready to compete? Come join us.

Pattern Masters Bowling is a competitive sports pattern bowling league in Fountain Valley, California. Join our Thursday 6:30PM 4-game scratch league and compete on challenging oil patterns designed for serious bowlers in Orange County.

Sports Patterns Explained. Sport patterns reduce the built-in miss area found on a house shot. Success comes from repeatable mechanics, spare shooting, and smart angle management. Expect: tighter hold, defined friction, meaningful transitions, and real adjustment strategy. This is where competitive bowlers are built.

Cheetah Oil Pattern – What to Expect. This is our first 3-week pattern.

Cheetah is a shorter oil pattern that forces you closer to the gutter. The outside boards hook early, while the middle of the lane holds longer oil. Miss too far inside and the ball skids past the breakpoint; miss too far right and it can jump off the dry.

How to Play the Cheetah Pattern

Start further right with a straighter angle through the front, keeping your speed under control. Focus on a consistent breakpoint near the outside boards (around 3–5). Use equipment that reads early and rolls strong in the mid-lane. As the pattern breaks down, move your feet and target left in small moves and keep your eyes locked on your breakpoint.
